Does Hantera preserve actor history when an actor is rewound?
Yes. A Hantera rewind preserves the original mutation history, appends a new checkpoint for the rewind, and adds an activity-log entry for the operation.
A rewind restores the actor to the state represented by a selected checkpoint without deleting the original history. The rewind itself is recorded as a new checkpoint, so an operator can see that recovery action in the actor’s history.
That makes it possible to correct an earlier change while retaining the context needed to understand what happened and how the state was recovered.
A rewind restores state; it does not re-run the rules that ran for the original messages. Teams should account for that distinction when they design automated follow-up work.
