Use Case · Global Retail & Wholesale

One operation. Every market, every route.

Your customer in Oslo sees their own language, their own currency and a delivery date they can plan around. Behind that promise sit prices, VAT, stock, the warehouse it ships from, the customs data for the journey and the return rules for their market. When any of those change, the rest have to follow — or someone fixes it by hand.

Global sales, localized

Selling abroad is more than a translated storefront.

A price, a tax line, a delivery date or a return policy that works in one country can quietly fail in the next. Customers never see your market configuration. They just see a brand that got their order wrong.

The local offerLocale and currency carried on every order, with market and customer price lists drawn from one product catalogue.
TaxVAT calculated from each product’s VAT class and the country’s rates, and sales tax through tax apps where the rules go deeper.
Customs and classificationImport and export classifications per country, kept on the order line and ready for your carrier or customs broker.
Fulfilment and returnsWhere each line ships from, what can be promised, and the return rules that apply in the customer’s market.
Diagram placeholder Market map: one order engine in the centre, each market ring showing its own locale, currency, tax, customs, fulfilment and return rules.
Asset pending — replaces this placeholder once the market diagram is produced.

A promise is only credible if it can be kept in the customer’s market.

When fulfilment changes

Re-routing is easy. Until the goods cross three other countries.

The Swedish warehouse is short, so the order line moves to Germany. The stock problem is solved. But the goods now start their journey somewhere else, pass through Denmark and Sweden, and reach Norway with a different export origin. If the order still carries the classifications and tax of the original route, the customs broker gets the wrong data — and the customer finds out at the border.

Classifications live on the productKeep import and export classifications per country on each product. Hantera_ carries them onto every order line as a classification matrix.
Your rules decide the routeWrite re-routing rules that fit your business, and let them move lines automatically when stock or circumstances change.
The order follows the moveWhen a line is re-routed, Hantera_ applies the classification set for its new route. Tax is refreshed through your tax apps, and the data your carrier or customs broker receives matches the actual journey.

You own the classification data. Hantera_ stores it, applies the right set for each route, and passes it to the systems in your logistics setup.

Two audiences, one operation

Retail and wholesale make different promises from the same stock.

A consumer wants a date and an easy return. A reseller wants allocation, terms, and an invoice that reconciles. Both draw on the same inventory and the same operational reality underneath.

The retail promise

  • Their language, their currency, their prices
  • Availability that is true at checkout
  • A delivery date that survives a warehouse change
  • Tax and customs that match the actual journey
  • Returns and refunds without friction
  • Support that already knows the order

The wholesale promise

  • Allocation that respects agreed terms
  • Customer-specific price lists and conditions
  • Order handling across reseller flows
  • Invoices and credits finance can trust
  • Customs data ready for every cross-border shipment
  • Predictable fulfilment across regions
Same stock. Same systems. Same promise-keeping problem. The difference should live in the rules, not in a second operation.
How Hantera_ helps

Add markets without adding a second operation.

Every market is a new set of rules, not a new copy of your business. Hantera_ keeps the local offer, the route and the paperwork on one order, so a change in one place carries through to the rest.

Hani, the Hantera_ mascot, at a wall of market dials — currency, VAT, customs, routing and returns — keeping them all in sync from one control panel.

Expand without losing control of the promise.

Tell us the markets you sell in, where you ship from and the rules that differ. We’ll show you what Hantera_ would connect, and what we would leave alone.
