Why does Hantera use dates instead of timestamps for inventory availability?
Inventory and expected-stock fields use date-only values because they represent the business day stock is needed or expected, avoiding timezone ambiguity in planning and availability calculations.
An inventory date lets availability logic decide whether incoming stock should count for a fulfilment. A pre-order with a later inventory date can consider shipments expected by that business day, while an immediate order can rely on physical stock.
