Awin
Reports affiliate sales to Awin server-to-server when an order is confirmed.
Overview
Affiliate relationships run on trust in a number. When a publisher believes they sent traffic that converted and your reporting disagrees, the conversation is no longer about tracking — it is about whether the partnership is worth keeping.
This app reports sales to Awin from the confirmed order rather than from the browser, so a blocked tag does not quietly remove a publisher’s commission. Orders that did not arrive through an affiliate link are not reported at all, which keeps the programme honest in the other direction too.
The advertiser account resolves from the order’s channel and country, so a brand running several markets can route each one to the account it belongs to without a separate setup per storefront.
Sales are reported on goods value, excluding tax and shipping — the basis commission is meant to be paid on, so invoices do not need correcting later.
What it does
-
Sales reported from the order
A sale is reported when an order is confirmed, so an affiliate conversion does not depend on a browser tag surviving.
-
Only genuine affiliate orders
Orders without an Awin click value are never reported, and never even scheduled, so nothing is credited that was not driven by a publisher.
-
Per-channel and per-country advertiser
The advertiser id and commission group resolve from the order's channel and invoice country, falling back to the app default.
-
Commissionable value
Sales are reported on goods value excluding tax and shipping — the basis commission is actually paid on.
-
Test mode
Sales can be sent flagged as tests, so a configuration can be verified in Awin without affecting reporting.
Apps that usually run together.
Most operations install more than one. These are the apps this one is most often paired with, because they share the same order.
