nShift Checkout
Fetches carrier products, delivery methods and pickup points from nShift Checkout.
Overview
Delivery options are one of the few places where a customer is asked to choose, and choosing means they now expect something specific. A next-day option that the carrier does not actually offer to that address is a broken promise made at the moment of highest confidence.
This app fetches shipping options from nShift for the delivery in front of you — carrier products, delivery methods and pickup points, for the real destination. Your team sees them in the order view when selecting a shipping product, so a reroute or a re-book uses the same live options as the original purchase.
Because nShift setups differ, the request can be shaped by your own rules with values drawn from the order, the delivery or the channel. Shipping tax follows the option rather than being estimated, with a way to override it where a jurisdiction needs its own treatment.
It handles shipping options only — pair it with a payment app for a complete checkout.
What it does
-
Shipping options for the actual destination
Carrier products, delivery methods and pickup points are fetched from nShift for the delivery address in question, not from a stored list.
-
Available in the order view
Implements the portal's shipping product selection, so agents pick from the same live options a storefront would show.
-
Request variables from your own rules
nShift configurations are driven by provider-specific variables; merchant rules can supply them per lookup, including values taken from the order or channel.
-
Per-option shipping tax
Uses nShift's tax rate where available, with a hook for computing shipping tax yourself when a jurisdiction needs its own treatment.
-
Reusable by other apps
Exposes its shipping lookup so another app — for example a checkout bridge — can fetch options without duplicating the integration.
Apps that usually run together.
Most operations install more than one. These are the apps this one is most often paired with, because they share the same order.
